Transparency — how we work and how we make money

Trust is the only currency an independent site has. That’s why we’re open about how our content is created and how TECHNIKLOTSE is funded.

We don't test products ourselves

TECHNIKLOTSE is a data-drivensite. We don’t buy and test products ourselves; instead we compare manufacturer specifications, pricing data, aggregated ratings and independent expert tests. That keeps us fast, up to date and independent of manufacturer-supplied review units.

How our articles are created (AI-assisted)

TECHNIKLOTSE works in an AI-assisted, editorially revised way. The process:

  1. Gathering data: We follow manufacturer newsrooms, trade media and official announcements.
  2. Drafting: An AI model writes a first draft based solely on the data reviewed — no invented figures.
  3. Images: Illustrative images are AI-generated (not product photos).
  4. Review: Before publication, the editorial team checks the facts; only approved articles go live.

A real person, named in our legal notice, is responsible for the content. Our articles are created with AI assistance and editorially revised (see the note in our legal notice). The date of the most recent editorial review is shown in each article’s source list.

How we make our selection

  • Transparent criteria for each category, with the weighting shown
  • Several data points for every claim, with an “as of” date
  • Honest pros and cons — even when a product disappoints
  • Regular updates to prices and recommendations

Our partnership with Get it Done

TECHNIKLOTSE works with Get it Done (getitdone.rocks) — a Germany-wide provider of wallbox installation, charging infrastructure and energy technology. Through the “Request a consultation” and enquiry buttons we pass your interest on to Get it Done. This is a paid partnership — we may be compensated for the enquiries we refer. This involves no cost to you, and our editorial selection remains unaffected by it. Buttons of this kind are labelled Advert / Partnership and marked up with rel="sponsored".

Independence

We don’t take money for favourable placements, and we always label paid content as advertising. You can read how our ratings are produced in our methodology.
